Bayda - Saba:
Al-Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris, along with Faris Al-Bashari, Assistant Head of the Sub-Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen, launched today the distribution of cash assistance vouchers to people with disabilities in Al-Bayda city.

Idris and Al-Bashari were briefed by Omar Al-Haddar, Director of the Red Crescent Society, and Saleh Al-Husaysi, Head of the Association for People with Disabilities, on the economic empowerment project targeting 51 members of the association in Al-Bayda. The project, with a total cost of $63,750, provides each beneficiary with $1,250 to support small economic initiatives as part of broader economic empowerment efforts.

During the launch, Governor Idris praised the initiative, which targets one of the most important segments of society, helping people with disabilities establish small businesses to improve the income of beneficiary families.

He expressed hope that organizations operating in Yemen would expand their interventions across various fields in the governorate, which has been deprived of service and development projects in recent years.
