The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that it had bombed, in conjunction with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, an Israeli command and control post south of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): "After returning from the battle lines... our fighters confirmed the bombardment of an enemy command and control post in the Qizan al-Najjar area south of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip with a number of mortar shells."
