The Gaza Ministry of Health reported on Friday that unprecedented numbers of starving citizens of all ages are arriving at emergency departments in states of severe exhaustion and fatigue.
In a brief statement, the Health Ministry warned that hundreds of emaciated individuals are at risk of imminent death due to starvation, as their bodies have surpassed their capacity to endure.
The people of Gaza are suffering from a real famine due to the closure of crossings and the tightening of the Israeli-enforced siege since the beginning of last March. The blockade has prevented the entry of food, medicine, fuel, while aid has been cut off and access to sustenance has become extremely difficult.
