Gaza – Saba: The Gaza Municipality warned of an imminent humanitarian disaster threatening more than 1.2 million citizens and displaced persons due to the complete cessation of Mekorot water pumping.
The municipality said in a statement that the currently operating wells cover only 12 percent of the minimum daily needs, resulting in a drop in the daily per capita water ration to less than five liters, and in some displacement centers to less than two liters.
