Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Rahwi met today with Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, to review the current status of the ministry and its land, sea, and air transport sectors, as well as the essential needs to ensure continuity of operations across all three domains.
During the meeting, Minister Qahim provided a brief overview of the ministry’s performance and that of its affiliated bodies in implementing the 1446H annual plan, highlighting key aspects of the current year’s (1447H) strategy. He emphasized the commitment of leadership, staff, and workers in the expansive transport sector to fulfilling their duties with a strong sense of national responsibility during these challenging times.
The Prime Minister praised Minister Qahim for his significant efforts and active field presence in monitoring and evaluating the ministry’s operations. He noted that the government highly values the efforts and accomplishments of all executive bodies, including the Ministry of Transport and other ministries, government agencies, and local authorities.
Al-Rahwi highlighted the heavy responsibilities placed on the ministry, especially considering the direct targeting of its infrastructure by American, Israeli, and British forces. He commended the ministry’s swift response and rapid resumption of operations under such circumstances.
He affirmed the government’s continued support for the transport sector and its commitment to providing the urgent resources necessary to sustain its vital activities.
