Hajjah – Saba:
Dr. Abdullah Adhabi, head of the Technical Sector in Hajjah Governorate, inaugurated today the operation of solar-powered computer and sewing labs at Al-Thawra and Arwa Technical Institutes in the city center. The initiative was funded by the technical sector.
The inauguration was attended by the director of the Central District, Issam Al-Wazzan, and the local head of the Martyrs’ Families Care Authority, Mutahar Safi Al-Din. Dr. Adhabi emphasized the importance of switching to alternative energy sources to enhance the educational process and reduce energy costs, particularly under the current difficult conditions.
He explained that this step is part of ongoing plans to support technical institutes and develop the quality of education. He also encouraged students to enroll in the two institutes to acquire practical skills that will help them access job opportunities.
The deans of the two institutes — Ahmed Al-Dawli of Al-Thawra and Samar Al-Aour of Arwa — praised the local leadership’s commitment to supporting the institutes and advancing technical education.
Following the ceremony, Adhabi, Al-Wazzan, and Safi Al-Din toured the sewing lab at Arwa Institute, where they inspected student-made products including school and women’s bags, uniforms, clothing, and children’s items.
