Preparatory events launched in Dhamar to commemorate Prophet's Birthday

The preparatory activities for celebrating the anniversary of the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi) for the year 1447 AH were launched on Monday in Dhamar Province with a central event, attended by Governor Mohammed Al-Bukaiti.

During the inauguration, which was held in the presence of members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, as well as deputies and local leaders, Ahmed Al-Dawrani, the mobilization official in the governorate, emphasized the importance of commemorating this occasion as an expression of gratitude to Allah for the blessing of guidance. He highlighted the need to revive the noble legacy of the Greatest Prophet (PBUH), draw lessons from his honorable life, and follow his path.

Al-Dawrani urged that this occasion serve as an opportunity to strengthen the connection with the Noble Prophet, emulate his morals, faith, benevolence, patience, steadfastness, and his struggle in establishing truth , justice, defending the oppressed, confronting tyrants and oppressors.

He pointed to the crimes of the Zionist enemy in Gaza, considering Yemen’s stance in supporting Gaza as an authentic extension of the Prophet’s approach and a reflection of a living conscience, faithful behavior, and humanitarian duty.

Al-Dawrani noted the Yemeni people’s longstanding interest in commemorating the Prophet’s Birthday , called for broad interaction , participation in the preparatory events and activities. He also stressed the importance of continuing solidarity activities for Gaza and "Al-Aqsa Flood" campaigns.

For his part, Faisal Al-Hatifi, Director of the Endowment Office in the governorate, described the Prophet’s Birthday as a day of pride, freedom, and dignity, and an occasion to revive the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life, values, and principles in hearts and minds.

He affirmed the significance of this anniversary in highlighting the greatness of the Noble Prophet and the essence of Islam, emphasizing that the positions of countries and regimes—especially Arab and Islamic ones—toward the tragedy in Gaza reflect a new era of ignorance.

Meanwhile, the Mufti of the Governorate, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Akwa, spoke about the lofty status of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the sublimity of his message, and its universality for all humanity, saving them from blind ignorance.

He touched upon the unique honors bestowed upon the Seal of the Prophets and the Leader of the Messengers, including resurrection, intercession, and precedence in entering Paradise, as well as the glad tidings given to the people of Yemen. He noted that Yemenis, as the origin of Arabs, should set an example in adhering to the Book of Allah and the righteous path of His Messenger.

Sheikh Al-Akwa urged drawing lessons from the life of the Chosen Prophet (PBUH), emulating his steadfastness, patience, and struggle in upholding Allah’s religion, and reinforcing the values of brotherhood, cooperation, and standing up for the oppressed in Palestine and beyond.
