Palestinian Resistance Factions: Threats to Occupy Gaza Reveal Israeli Political and Military Failure
[07/ August/2025]

Gaza – SABA:

Palestinian resistance factions declared on Thursday that threats made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—wanted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court—to militarily occupy the Gaza Strip, are a clear admission of Israel’s political and military failure.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the factions asserted that Netanyahu’s remarks reflect desperation after two years of failing to achieve any strategic objectives, despite committing massacres, war crimes, and enjoying unlimited backing from global colonial powers.

The factions stated that Netanyahu’s threats are “an open declaration of genocidal intent” and a desperate attempt to subjugate the Palestinian people and their resistance. They warned that such intentions “will come at a heavy price,” and that the battlefield will once again be the decisive arena.

“Gaza is not an empty plot waiting to be filled,” the statement read. “It is soaked in the blood of martyrs and built on the strength of fighters. Any direct occupation attempt will become a quagmire that burns those who enter, pushing the resistance into a harsher and more painful phase of confrontation.”

The factions emphasized that Netanyahu’s threats aim to distract from his political and military failures by promoting illusions of control. “Gaza will not be governed from Tel Aviv or any foreign capital, but by the will of its resilient people,” they said.

They concluded by reaffirming the unity of all resistance groups on the battlefield: “Any decision to occupy Gaza will only send the enemy back defeated and broken, as in every previous round. The enemy is delusional if it thinks it can free its captives through military force—our prisoners will only be released through negotiations, and at a high cost.”
