SAADA, Aug. 31 (Saba) - The total losses and damage suffered in various government sectors in Saada province due to the US-Saudi aggression amounted to Y.R 3 trillion and 600 billion.

In this regard, Saada's local council in its meeting on Sunday headed by governor Mohammed Jaber Awad endorsed a report presented by the Secretary-General of Saada's local council Mohammed al-Emad on the total losses of all sectors in the province that were targeted by the US-Saudi aggression for nearly six years amounted to 3.6 trillion riyals.

The report reviewed the extent of the destruction that has been inflicted on the province and the achievements achieved by the local authority despite the aggression and siege, as well as the role of the local authority in mobilizing the fronts and providing them with food convoys.

The report touched on the efforts made to follow up on the implementation of projects, stressing that the year 2021 will be the year of developing education.

The report dealt with the difficulties facing the local authority, the most prominent of which is the lack of headquarters in the capital of the province and the districts are considered alternatives to the headquarters destroyed by the aggression.

Saada governor indicated that there are important projects such as the province's sanitation project.

Projects also will be included in some districts in the province which the local council will have the role to implement them, the governor said.

Awad also pointed out that these projects will transform the province into a qualitative leap in the level of services, praising the role of the members of the province's local council members in mobilizing, supplementing the fronts, and maintaining the cohesion of the home front.
