SANA'A May 17. 2023 (Saba) - His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, met on Wednesday with the development team headed by a member of the Supreme Political Council, Muhammad Al-Nuaimi.
During the meeting, President Al-Mashat from the development team listened to a clarification about the results of the team's visit to Sa'ada province and all its districts, and briefed him on many projects that were implemented with funding from the Central Emergency Intervention Unit at the Ministry of Finance, and community initiatives in Saqin, Haydan, Maran, Baqim and various districts of the provinces.
Al-Nuaimi confirmed that the community initiatives provided the community with many services, such as roads, dams, and others, and received great satisfaction from the community, indicating that the development team seeks to mobilize the role of the community to play its role in supporting the state in providing all services and working on coordination between officials in the province, districts and society.
During the meeting, His Excellency the President expressed his thanks to the development team for its important role, and directed the continuation of work in the rest of the provinces.
President Al-Mashat stressed the importance of officials going to the field and cooperating with the community, facilitating and overcoming all the difficulties it faces, achieving the principle of cooperation and integration between the state and society, and directing the concerned authorities to implement the development team's proposals.
He urged the encouragement of investment in the agricultural sector and the provision of mechanisms and requirements that help advance this sector and increase the level of production. He stressed the importance of activating the role of old and modern agricultural associations, overcoming the difficulties they face and correcting their activities so that they play an active role in agricultural development and self-sufficiency.
President Al-Mashat stressed the need to pay attention to the marketing process at the level of all governorates so that the farmers benefit, and work to reduce the proportion of imports in favor of the local product to contribute to covering a large proportion of the local market's needs and enhance its utilization in local manufacturing.
