Liverpool are three points away from clinching the Premier League title after beating Leicester City 1-0 on Sunday in the 33rd round of the competition.
Trent Alexander-Alnord, who came on as a second-half substitute, scored the only goal of the match in the 76th minute.
With this victory, Liverpool raised its tally to 79 points at the top of the overall standings, 13 points ahead of its closest rivals Arsenal, which also won today against Ipswich Town 4-0, with 5 stages before the end of the season.
Liverpool will look to clinch the title on Sunday when they host Tottenham at Anfield, or possibly next Wednesday if Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace.
Also in the 33rd round, Chelsea beat Fulham 2-1, while Manchester United lost to Wolverhampton 0-1
Wolverhampton 0-1.
The round concludes tomorrow, Monday, with Tottenham Hotspur taking on Nottingham Forest.
