By: The Political Editor – SABA – Sana’a
Yemen’s stance on the Palestinian cause is not a temporary tactic or a political maneuver. It is a deeply rooted, principled, and unwavering strategic position—genuine, consistent, and non-negotiable. Yemen does not posture for headlines, nor does it seek momentary gain; its support is rooted in faith, justice, and identity.
Revolutionary leader Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi frequently reiterates Yemen’s moral and religious commitment to the Palestinian people and their just struggle for life, dignity, and liberation from occupation. In his words:
“The Israeli enemy continues with unimaginable savagery and criminality, exposing its true nature. If all the bloodthirsty Zionists and their American partners were wild beasts, they would have tired by now of devouring the flesh of Gaza’s people.”
Yemen’s position stands in stark contrast to what the editorial calls a collapse of political and moral values across much of the Arab world. This vacuum has allowed Zionist forces to proceed with impunity in Gaza, committing atrocities under the complacent gaze—or even complicity—of some Arab regimes.
Where many Arab states have normalized ties with Israel or remained silent in the face of genocidal violence, Yemen has maintained an unflinching voice of resistance. The editorial accuses these regimes of betraying Palestine, abandoning decades of rhetoric for humiliating normalization, and enabling a brutal assault on an unarmed people.
In contrast, Yemen emerges as the only Arab country with a consistently honorable record of supporting the Palestinian resistance, a fact that history will remember even as it exposes the disgrace of others.
Despite this bleak landscape, the editorial finds hope in growing international solidarity—from movements, institutions, and individuals around the globe who continue to support Palestinian rights and expose the injustice.
The article concludes by affirming that Yemen’s steadfastness reveals the truth: that the Arab world’s complicity is not representative of its peoples, and that true solidarity—like Yemen’s—continues to inspire resistance against occupation and betrayal.
