SANA'A September 06. 2023 (Saba) - Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, met on Wednesday at the House of the Presidency, Regional Director of the Operations of the International Committee of the Red Cross for the Middle East and North Africa (ICRC), Fabrizio Carboni.

During the meeting, President Al-Mashat thanked the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for its efforts in Yemen, the latest of which was the launch of a push from prisoners, which brought joy to every home.

He stressed that the consequences of the aggression in the seam areas of cluster bombs, mines and explosive missiles caused many martyrs and wounded to fall on a daily basis.

President Al-Mashat expressed his surprise at the suspension of support for the Executive Mine Action Centre. It is hoped that the Centre will be supported as a humanitarian aspect in view of its role in saving citizens' lives in the seam zones.
