DAMASCUS March 29. 2024 (Saba) - Syria condemned the terrorist aggression launched by the Zionist enemy entity at dawn today, targeting a number of points in the countryside of Aleppo Governorate, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of civilians and military personnel.
She renewed the call on all countries of the world to shoulder their responsibilities and oblige the Zionist entity and those who support it to stop their attacks and crimes in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon.
"The Syrian Arab Republic condemns the terrorist aggression launched by the Israeli occupation entity at dawn today, targeting a number of points in the countryside of Aleppo, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of civilians and military personnel and material losses to public and private property," the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry added that "it was no coincidence that the Zionist racist entity carried out this aggression at the same time that armed terrorist groups allied with the Zionist entity launched attacks and drone attacks carried out from Idlib and the western countryside of Aleppo, in an attempt to target civilians in the city of Aleppo and its surroundings."
She pointed out that this blatant Israeli aggression comes only hours after another aggression launched by the Israeli occupation forces yesterday targeting a residential building in the countryside of Damascus, which killed two civilians and caused material damage.
In the statement, Syria stressed that the Israeli violations of Syrian territory and its repeated attacks on residential neighborhoods prove the aggressive and barbaric nature of this entity, and reaffirm that it is the main cause of instability in the region and the suffering of its peoples as a result of these attacks and the daily crimes of genocide committed by Zionist fascism against the Palestinian people.
