WASHINGTON April 26. 2024 (Saba) - US Senator Bernie Sanders harshly criticized Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claim that demonstrations in solidarity with Gaza on American universities are "anti-Semitic."
He said in a post on the X platform: No, sir Netanyahu, highlighting the massacres of your extremist government that killed more than 34 thousand Palestinians, 70 percent of them were women and children, and more than 77,000 were wounded, within a short period not exceeding 6 months. This is not anti-semitic.
He added: "Do not mock the intelligence of the American people by trying to divert our attention from the failed and immoral military policies of your extremist and racist government."
He added: "Do not use anti-Semitism to distract attention from the accusations you face from the Israeli courts in corruption cases. Holding you accountable for your actions is not anti-Semitic."
Sanders is considered one of the most important Jewish senators in the US Senate, criticizing Netanyahu's extremist government.
