WASHINGTON May 04. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, confirmed today, Saturday, that the allegations of the US State Department regarding the involvement of Russian intelligence services in cyber attacks in Europe are false propaganda, indicating that this activity by Washington will intensify as the US presidential elections approach, in Next November.
Sputnik quoted Antonov as saying, while commenting on the US State Department’s allegations: “We consider such statements to be another example of megaphone diplomacy and evidence of Washington’s indescribable desire to accuse Russia of all deadly sins. We have repeatedly told the Americans Again, if you have any doubts, they should be conveyed through official channels with specific facts and concrete evidence.”
It explained, "The American authorities simply have nothing to prove to support their insinuations (allegations)."
It added, "It is clear that such provocative false stories will intensify as the US presidential elections approach, as was the case in previous years."
Antonov stressed that "false propaganda and clear rejection of professional dialogue undermine international information security."
