SANA'A May 04. 2024 (Saba) - The caretaker Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, discussed today,Saturday, with the Shura Council Speaker , Muhammad Al-Aidaroos, relations of cooperation and coordination between the Council of Ministers and the Shura Council regarding common issues.
The meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, the Vice President of the Shura Council, Muhammad Al-Durra, and the Ministers of State in the government, Ahmed Al-Ali, and the Ministers of State for the Outcomes of the National Dialogue and National Reconciliation, Ahmed Al-Hamati, reviewed the level of achievement in the joint tasks between the two Councils of Ministers.
Shura, and the great success that has been achieved in this aspect, especially what is related to keeping pace with the stage , its challenges, and in the forefront is related to steadfastness in the face of aggression , siege and strengthening the unity of the national ranks.
The meeting touched on a number of topics that were discussed by the Shura Council related to the government’s activity, including the issue of excessive logging of Sidr and Salam trees, with the multiple risks it poses to the environment and its components, including the contribution to the decline in the production of high-quality Yemeni honey, considering that these trees are an essential source of food for bees.
Emphasis was placed on the responsibility of the Ministries of Agriculture, Irrigation, Water and Environment, other relevant bodies and local authorities in developing treatments and solutions to reduce the excessive logging of trees that threatens to increase the extent of desertification in Yemen.
