GAZA May 04. 2024 (Saba) - A leading source in the Palestinian factions confirmed on Saturday that the resistance leadership "shows high flexibility within the framework of achieving an agreement that achieves the demands of the Palestinian people for a comprehensive cessation of aggression and the withdrawal of the Zionist enemy forces from the Gaza Strip, completely."
The source told Al-Mayadeen that "the resistance dealt positively with the framework paper, which was presented by the mediators within the framework of reaching an agreement and a serious deal."
It pointed out that "contacts are permanent between the leadership of the resistance" and that consultations and negotiations "are continuing with mediators to reach a serious and real agreement".
The source explained that the prime minister of the Zionist enemy, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the leaders of the occupation "always fail negotiations." "Netanyahu is intransigent and does not care about the return of his prisoners, nor the demands of their families, and is challenging the world to continue the war of genocide."
In the same context, the source stressed that the threats of the Zionist enemy regarding Rafah "will not break the will of the Palestinian people and their resistance, and the resistance leadership will not submit in the negotiations, and its position is firm."
The source stressed that "the resistance is ready to protect the Palestinian people and confront the aggression." "The world must rein in the fascist occupation and stop genocide."
This comes as efforts continue to reach an agreement leading to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of prisoners, so that Hamas and the Palestinian resistance factions study the proposed agreement paper.
In this context, a Hamas delegation arrived in Egypt earlier today to discuss the paper proposed by the Zionist side for the agreement.
Yesterday, Hamas confirmed in a statement "the positive spirit with which the movement's leadership dealt with when studying the ceasefire proposal that it recently received." "The delegation is going to Cairo in this same spirit in order to reach an agreement, as the movement and the Palestinian resistance forces are determined to mature the agreement," It said.
It added: "We are determined to reach an agreement that achieves the demands of our people to stop the aggression, withdraw the occupation, return the displaced, start reconstruction, and complete the prisoner deal."
