MOSCOW May 15. 2024 (Saba) - Russian defenses shot down ten US tactical missiles (ATACM) and 17 drones launched by Ukrainian forces last night on Crimea and provinces of southwestern Russia.
The "Russia Today" website quoted the governor of the city of Sevastopol in Crimea, Mikhail Razvogaev, as saying: Several missiles and drones were dropped over the waters of Sevastopol and in the vicinity of Belbek airport in Crimea, and a fire was extinguished resulting from the fall of rocket fragments in the vicinity of the village of Pulyushko.
In the Rostov-on-Don region, Russian defenses shot down two drones targeting two fuel tanks in the Proletarskoye region without causing casualties or damage.
Kiev forces continue to target the border areas of southwestern Russia with drones and missiles on an almost daily basis, which confirms, according to President Vladimir Putin, the need to expand the scope of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, and to keep Kiev forces away from Russian areas, including new ones, with the range of missiles with which they try to hit Russia.
