Sana'a - Saba:
The Pentagon has been rocked by widespread turmoil, with a wave of resignations and dismissals of about a dozen high-ranking military officials, including Defense Chief of Staff Joe Casper, who left his post amid internal conflicts and a wave of instability since Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, a former Fox News personality, took office just three months ago.
Reports have surfaced of Hegseth being accused of paranoia and isolation, and of using encrypted apps in a manner now under investigation. He also recently fired three senior advisors accused of leaking information.
At the same time, Hegseth is facing pressure from the US Senate to explain the targeting of civilians in US airstrikes in Yemen, amid intense criticism from Democrats who have questioned the credibility of President Trump's peace pledges during his second term.
