Washington - Saba:
US President Donald Trump said he pressured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to allow food and medicine into the Gaza Strip.
Trump added that he discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip with Netanyahu and asked him to behave well toward the Strip.
"Things with Iran are going very well," the US president said, adding "we are dealing at the highest levels regarding the Iranian issue."
In an interview published by Time magazine earlier Friday, Trump said he would not allow Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to drag him into a war against Iran.
Trump expressed his willingness to meet with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, responding to a question on the matter: "Absolutely." He added that Iran is aware of his position on the nuclear program, and that he believes it is possible to reach an agreement with it.
At dawn on March 18, 2025, the Israeli enemy army resumed its aggression and tightened siege of the Gaza Strip, following a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on January 19. However, the enemy violated the terms of the agreement throughout the truce period.
With full American support, the Israeli enemy has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in more than 168,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, in addition to more than 14,000 missing persons.
