Gaza – Saba:
The Palestinian Health Ministry warned on Saturday of massive fatalities among the wounded and sick in Gaza Strip within one to three months, stressing that the healthcare system will face successive collapses during this period.
In a press statement on Saturday, Marwan Al-Hams, Director of Field Hospitals in Gaza, confirmed that these deaths will occur if the Zionist enemy continues its attacks on hospitals, tightens the blockade, closes crossings, prevents the entry of humanitarian and medical aid.
Al-Hams stated that hospital occupancy rates in Gaza have reached 150% due to the overwhelming number of daily casualties after 40 days of resumed genocidal war on the Strip.
According to Al-Hams, the healthcare system is forced to prioritize patients for treatment and medical care, while rationing electricity, medicine, and available medical supplies to delay total collapse.
He noted that the crisis facing hospitals and medical facilities has worsened since the Zionist enemy’s decision on March 2 to close crossings and block humanitarian aid, including medical supplies.
