SANA'A May 31. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy entity still turns its back on the world and ignores the global movement in support of Palestine, and does not care about the calls of the international community or the decisions of the highest judicial body in the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, regarding its ongoing brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip.
A few days after the decision of the International Court of Justice demanding that this entity stop its military operation on Rafah, members of the Security Council began consultations on a draft resolution submitted by Algeria obligating “Tel Aviv” to stop its operation in the city located south of the Gaza Strip.
According to media reports, the UN Security Council will vote today, Thursday, on a draft Algerian resolution to stop the ongoing Zionist-US aggression against Rafah, which stipulates that the Security Council may “decide that Israel, the occupying power, must immediately stop its military attack.” And any other work in Rafah.”
The draft resolution calls for "an immediate ceasefire respected by all parties, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and also demands that the parties comply with their obligations under international law with respect to all persons they detain."
Today's Security Council session is considered the first action by the Council since the attack launched by Zionist enemy aircraft on refugee tents in Rafah, and this meeting will be followed by other steps that Algeria intends to initiate at the Security Council level.
A week ago, the International Court of Justice, the highest judicial body in the United Nations, ordered the Zionist enemy entity, the occupying power, to immediately stop its military operations and any other movement in the Rafah Governorate, and the necessity of maintaining the opening of the Rafah crossing, to enable the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
The court also requested, by provisional measures, that the Zionist entity, in accordance with its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, take concrete measures to ensure that any investigative or fact-finding committee has access to the United Nations investigation into the genocide accusations against it without any hindrance.
Despite UN and international condemnations, the Zionist enemy has continued its barbaric aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October, with the number of martyrs reaching 36,171, the majority of whom were children and women, and the number of injuries 81,420, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble, waiting to be recovered. The world is moving seriously to oblige the usurping entity to stop the war of genocide.
For its part, after a few days, South Africa will implement the decision of the Court of Justice, in light of the continuation of the Zionist massacres in Rafah, while the Zionist enemy fears being included on the United Nations list of countries accused of killing children.
The diplomatic pressures that the Prime Minister of the occupying entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, threatens to overcome, come in the context of his classification among the internationally outcast leaders, after the Prosecutor General of the International Criminal Court requested the issuance of an arrest warrant against him on suspicion of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Zionist war on Gaza.
This step adds to many of the burdens borne by the allies of the Zionist entity, led by America, while Germany, for example, was forced to justify arms sales to the occupying entity in the face of accusations of facilitating genocide brought by Nicaragua.
On the other hand, the Zionist enemy government continues to confront all of this with more massacres against the Palestinians, ignoring all the decisions of UN and international bodies, and without the slightest regard for the international and popular public mood.
On the 237th day of the Zionist war on the Gaza Strip, the enemy continued its massacres in several areas, and intensified its raids on Rafah, coinciding with the escalation of its campaign of raids on several cities in the occupied West Bank, including Nablus, Tulkarm, Hebron, and Ramallah, and confirmed the death of two soldiers in the run-over operation at the Awarta checkpoint. East Nablus.
In return, the Al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades announced that they had targeted Zionist vehicles and bombed a foot force, killing and wounding its soldiers, in several areas in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
Zionist and foreign media report that ministers in Netanyahu’s government mocked and disparaged countries that called for Palestinian rights, which reinforces the prevailing belief that Netanyahu’s government follows a no-holds-barred approach when dealing with critics of this entity, as was clearly demonstrated in the actions of the occupying entity’s representative in the Security Council or Statements of his Foreign Minister.
In this context, the Palestinian researcher at the Mada al-Carmel Center, Mtanes Shehadeh, said in an interview with Al-Arabi that the political transformations and what is happening in the international community greatly affect the Zionist entity and its status, but this entity is arrogant and denies what is happening on the international scene, and uses One strategy is to continue the war of annihilation against Gaza, and to rely on American support.
For his part, Director of the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, Khalil Jahshan, said in an interview with Al-Arabi from Washington that the diplomatic arena cannot be left to the Zionist entity to deny all the responsibilities placed on it and on the shoulders of the parties that support it, led by Washington... stressing that the entire movement Diplomacy comes within the framework of international, and not just Arab, diplomatic efforts to stop the Zionist aggression.
It is noteworthy that the Zionist enemy is quick every time to respond to any positions or decisions of the international community by committing an act opposite to them on the ground, as happened after the orders of the International Court of Justice, to immediately stop the ground attack on Rafah, and the necessity of maintaining the opening of the Rafah crossing, to enable Entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
The Zionist response to the orders of international justice was not delayed, even though they were final and not subject to appeal. A few days later, the Zionist enemy forces committed two massacres against the displacement camps in Rafah, which resulted in the martyrdom of 72 citizens, the majority of whom were women and children, and the injury of hundreds.
Contrary to what the international community demands, and confirmed by the International Court of Justice, the Zionist enemy forces continue to control the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing, close the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing, and prevent the entry of humanitarian aid, or the exit of sick and injured people to receive treatment.
UN Rapporteur Francesca Albanese said: The genocide in Gaza will not end without external pressure, and sanctions must be imposed on the Zionist entity and investments, agreements, trade and partnerships with it must be suspended... stressing that “this cruelty, in addition to the blatant challenge to international law and order, is unacceptable.”
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, also stressed that the decisions of the International Court of Justice are binding, and all members must abide by them, and reiterated his demand for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He called on the Zionist entity, the occupying power, to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches the Strip without obstacles. And safely.
In the same context, and despite the decision of the International Court of Justice, since May 7, enemy forces have continued to close the Rafah border crossing, after they occupied the Palestinian side of it, and prevented the flow of humanitarian aid and the exit of the wounded, sick, and humanitarian cases through it.
The persistence of the barbaric Zionist entity in its crimes confirms once again that issuing calls, expressing hopes, and expressing international concern and warnings are insufficient, and do not rise to the level of the suffering of a people who have been suffering under occupation for 76 years, and cannot stop the barbarism of this occupier and his lust for murder and destruction.
The widely welcomed decisions by Norway, Ireland and Spain to recognize Palestine as a state show that more countries are now standing up for justice on this issue, leaving America increasingly isolated.
Despite the progress achieved, the path towards establishing an independent Palestinian state is full of obstacles erected by America. The US government responded on Wednesday to the decisions of Norway, Ireland and Spain, saying: The Palestinian state should not be achieved through “unilateral recognition.” Despite its claim to support the two-state solution, Washington, as always, actually acts in a duplicitous manner.
In ignoring the just call from the international community, we see Washington talking about the need for a ceasefire while pumping weapons to the Zionist entity, and talking about humanitarian aid while placing obstacles to its arrival, in a disgraceful behavior that reveals the extent of its hypocrisy.
Observers believe that the failure of the international community, led by America, to take any deterrent measures against the racist entity and ignore the implementation of the decisions of the International Court of Justice, is a green light for this entity to carry out more killing and destruction in the city of Rafah, which is considered the last refuge for hundreds of thousands of displaced people.
Observers confirm that the American administration bears full responsibility for what is happening in Rafah and the entire Gaza Strip by the Zionist enemy entity, especially the so-called establishment of the buffer zone, the attempts to displace citizens, and the transformation of the Gaza Strip into an unlivable area, and its refusal to submit to the decisions of international courts, the latest of which is a court decision. International Justice.
Observers stress the need for the international community and effective international institutions to take practical steps and move seriously, concretely and effectively to force the enemy entity to comply with the decisions of the International Court of Justice, and not be satisfied with statements and recording positions, otherwise every delay will be met with more killing and blood and the international community must bear its legal, political and moral responsibilities. By exerting the necessary pressure on the occupying entity in order to comply with those international norms, laws, agreements and resolutions.
It is worth mentioning that the Middle East region is going through exceptional, difficult and unprecedented circumstances today, due to the killing, displacement, and serious and brutal violations carried out by the Zionist enemy forces against the Palestinian people in the Palestinian territories, as they commit new massacres in the city of Rafah and work to displace the people of Palestine, and reoccupy the Gaza Strip. Gaza in its entirety, to implement plans to liquidate the Palestinian issue in light of the unprecedented American support for the occupying entity to continue its crimes, in light of the absence and lack of immediate implementation of the decision of the International Court of Justice.
