SANA'A 07. July 2024 (Saba) - The Presidential Committee for Free Seats at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today the results of the differentiation and competition for free seats in public and private universities for the academic year 1446 AH.
The Presidential Committee explained in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the process of correction, differentiation, sorting and distribution was carried out electronically based on the results of proficiency examinations and in accordance with fair standards that guarantee the achievement of transparency and the principle of equal opportunities for all.
The statement indicated that the distribution of seats to all categories was made in accordance with the resources available to them and in proportion to the students’ grades and the results they achieved in the proficiency exams.
The committee confirmed that the comparison mechanism, sorting and distribution procedures were carried out at the level of each of the beneficiary categories individually, as well as at the level of each of the governorates deprived of qualification.
The committee called on all students to log into their accounts on the free seats portal (according to the data they registered with) to carry out the process of confirming and approving the seats they obtained, confirming their acceptance and commitment to enrolling in the study.
The statement stated that the door to grievances was opened for a period of five days, starting from the first Sunday of Muharram until the fifth Thursday of Muharram 1446 AH. . He called on students whose results were withheld to quickly come to the Ministry and submit the original documents confirming that the conditions apply to them.
The committee confirmed that any student who won the comparison will be deprived of the seat he obtained if he does not confirm or file a grievance during the announcement period, and no request or any grievance will be considered after this date, and all students must follow the instructions shown on the website for free seats https: //mohesr.gov.ye/mohesr/finalresult.php
