WASHINGTON July 13. 2024 (Saba) - The US Army Central Command announced the arrival of the aircraft carrier "Theodore Roosevelt" to the area of operations of the US Fifth Fleet in the Red Sea, after the departure of the aircraft carrier "Eisenhower" and its group.
The U.S. military's Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement last night that the strike group led by the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt arrived at the area of operations of the Fifth Fleet in the Red Sea on July 12. Claiming that its goal is "to deter aggressions, enhance regional stability and protect the free flow of trade in the region," noting here that the real goal of its arrival is to protect "Israel" and ships heading to the ports of the usurping entity.
The strike group that arrived consisted of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt, the 11th Air Wing of the aircraft carrier, and three Arleigh-Burke-class guided missile destroyers, the USS Russell and the USS Daniel K. Inouye" and "USS Halsey".
The arrival of this group comes after the attack group of the aircraft carrier "Dawit Eisenhower" left the Red Sea on June 22, seven months after its deployment in the region to try to support the Zionist entity in the face of attacks launched by the Yemen in support of Gaza and its resistance, and after it was subjected to several attacks via rockets and drones by the Yemeni armed forces that led to its retreat.
