Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that Moscow has not received official notifications regarding Helsinki's imposition of restrictions on some Russian real estate properties in Finland, stressing that a legal assessment will be made after the situation is clarified by the Finnish authorities.
Zakharova was quoted by Sputnik as saying in a statement on Wednesday: ‘Regarding a number of other Russian properties in Finland, including the plot of land on which the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Helsinki is located, which was reportedly restricted in the Finnish media, the Russian side has not yet received official notifications about the imposition of restrictive measures on it.’
She added that the Russian Embassy in Helsinki has sent requests to the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the bailiff service asking for clarification of the situation.
‘A legal assessment of the Finnish side's actions will be carried out after receiving responses to our requests. No illegal decisions will go unanswered,’ she said.
