SANA'A July 15. 2024 (Saba) - A joint meeting in Sana'a , which included the Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals - Acting Executive Director of the Yemeni Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, and the Head of the Civil Defense Service, Major General Ibrahim Al-Muayyad, discussed on Monday the mechanism for enhancing cooperation to control security and safety procedures at gas selling stations.
The meeting stressed the importance of exchanging experiences between the two sides, which helps implement security , safety standards at gas filling stations , means of transportation in order to preserve the safety ,citizens security and in the public interest.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Oil confirmed that the company will not grant any permits to establish direct sales stations for gas except after coordination with the Civil Defense Service, which in turn sends field teams to ensure the availability of the security and safety system in order to preserve lives , public and private property.
For his part, the head of the Civil Defense Department stressed the need for gas filling station owners to adhere to precautionary measures , install security , safety systems in their stations in order to preserve lives , public and private property.
