GAZA July 16. 2024 (Saba) - The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced on Monday, the killing and wounding of Zionist soldiers after its fighters detonated a missile left behind by the enemy army in two Merkava tanks in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood south of Gaza City.
The Qassam Brigades said in a statement that its fighters "after returning from the battle lines confirmed the detonation of a missile left behind by the enemy in two Merkava tanks of the enemy army near the 17th roundabout in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood south of Gaza City."
It added that "a number of enemy soldiers were gathering around them, and they were killed and wounded."
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades announced that its fighters bombarded, with a barrage of mortar shells, "60 caliber," the Zionist enemy soldiers who had penetrated the vicinity of the Awadallah junction, in the center of the Yebna camp, south of the city of Rafah.
It indicated that its fighters confirmed that the enemy army's helicopters landed near the targeted location in order to evacuate the dead and wounded.
The Brigades also announced targeting a group of enemy soldiers with a TBG shell inside a residential apartment at Awad Allah intersection, in the middle of the camp itself, and inflicted casualties on the group's members.
