DHAMAR July 16. 2024 (Saba) - A central speech event was held in Dhamar province on Tuesday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein bin Ali, may God be pleased with them both.
Governor Mohammed al-Bukhaiti emphasized that Imam Hussein's revolution serves as an inspiration for all Muslims.
He noted that commemorating this anniversary offers lessons in freedom, compassion, altruism, and courage, and helps correct misconceptions about Imam Hussein's revolution, its causes, and goals.
Al-Bukhaiti highlighted the importance of those who confront American enemies and their allies, and support Palestine today, drawing lessons from Imam Hussein's school of thought.
He underscored Mr. Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi's stance on Palestine and the aggression against Gaza, stressing the steadfast position of the Yemeni people towards the Palestinian issue, declaring, "they will not leave Gaza no matter how great the sacrifices are."
Scholar Ismail al-Washli reviewed aspects of Imam Hussein's biography, his virtues, and the principles and values he embodied.
He spoke about Imam Hussein's revolution aimed at establishing justice, supporting the oppressed, and combating deviations from the teachings of the Book of God Almighty, as well as the tragedy of Karbala.
Al-Washli pointed out the suffering of the Palestinian people amid international silence and complicity, emphasizing the faith-driven support from the Yemeni people. He called for continuing on Imam Hussein's path.
