OCCUPIED AL-QUDS July 18. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy bulldozers have began demolishing a residential building in the Wadi al-Jouz neighborhood in al-Quds city.
The Palestinian Wafa News Agency reported that the building, which consists of three residential apartments, belongs to the citizen Nader Jaber, and was built in the 1990s.
The Agency pointed out that the occupation bulldozers surrounded the building and began demolishing it after citizen Jaber refused to forcibly demolish it, and he also paid a heavy fine estimated at about one million shekels over the past years.
It pointed out that the building belongs to the children and grandchildren of citizen Jaber, and one of these apartments was built before the occupation of al-Quds.
Data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission show that the occupation authorities demolished 318 facilities in the West Bank during the first half of 2024, compared to the demolition of 313 facilities during the entire year of 2023, an indication of an unprecedented escalation of demolitions.
The occupation also stormed the homes of Ali Bakr and Jamal Abu Haniyeh families in the city of Qalqilya, and took measurements of the two homes in preparation for their demolition.
In a related context, the Israeli occupation forces have arrested Wednesday, a woman from the town of Azzun, east of the city of Qalqiliya.
Local sources said that the occupation forces arrested a woman to pressure her son, Abdullatif al-Riyashi, to surrender himself. They also raided the home of citizen Fadel Hawari.
