SANA'A July 19. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expects variable and scattered rain to fall in a number of Provinces, hot to very hot weather in deserts and coastal areas during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather forecast issued by the centre, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), rain of varying intensity is expected, some of which may be accompanied by thunder and hailstones, in separate areas of Sa'ada, Amran, east of Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Al-Dhale', Taiz and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan, south of Al-Bayda, Shabwa, Hadramaut and Al-Mahra provinces.
The center warned citizens against being present or blocking the paths of torrents, thunderstorms, and low horizontal visibility due to rain and dense low clouds.
It also warned citizens in deserts, inland plateaus, plains and coasts against hot and extremely hot weather and advised against direct exposure to the sun's rays during the afternoon.
The Center also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of sea turbulence , high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts.
