RAYMAH August 17. 2024 (Saba) - The Emergency Committee for Confronting Rain Flood Disasters in Raymah province held a meeting on Saturday, led by deputy governor Mohammed Murad, to enhance efforts in tackling the ongoing flood challenges.
The meeting, attended by key officials including General Mobilization Officer Mohammed al-Nahari and Director of Security and Intelligence Brig. Gen. Muammar al-Jaboub, reviewed the emergency response plan for the provinces' various districts.
Key actions include the immediate deployment of equipment to affected areas, removal of flood debris, and addressing rockslides to safeguard roads and homes.
The committee also approved the formation of an operations room to regularly assess flood damage and report to the leadership, enabling prompt protective measures for citizens and property.
Following the meeting, officials inspected flood damage to major roads and homes, emphasizing the urgency of restoring accessibility and ensuring public safety during the rainy season.
The Roads and Bridges Authority was directed to prioritize repairing flood-damaged infrastructure across the province.
