SANA'A August 20. 2024 (Saba) – A 25-day training course for loan officers, held at Bunyan Academy for Training and Rehabilitation, concluded on Tuesday.
Organized by Bunyan Development Foundation in partnership with the General Authority for the Development of Small and Micro Enterprises, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, and funded by the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, the course aimed to enhance the skills of 28 participants.
The training covered key areas including microfinance fundamentals, credit feasibility studies for agricultural financing, value chain analysis, economic methodologies, and the procedural guide for the Economic Empowerment Unit and Development Business Incubator.
Ali Maher, Deputy Executive Director of Bunyan Foundation, highlighted the course's significance within the Knights of Associations program, emphasizing the role of cooperative, agricultural, and fisheries associations in supporting the national economy and achieving food security.
Maher praised the support from various entities and stressed the need for a balanced economic vision to distribute wealth and enhance community involvement in development.
Participants and officials underscored the importance of applying the acquired skills to ensure loans reach deserving associations and contribute to achieving development goals.
The participants also emphasized the role of small and microfinance projects in supporting vulnerable communities and advancing sustainable development objectives.
