RAMALLAH August 23. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy authorities have released over 40 Palestinian prisoners from various prisons after they had completed their sentences.
Among those released were administrative detainees.
The prisoners were freed from locations including al-Dhahiriya checkpoint, Ofer Prison, and Salem military checkpoint.
According to the Prisoners Club, as reported by the Palestinian News Agency, several of the released prisoners, particularly those from Negev Prison, are suffering from skin diseases.
Negev Prison is notorious for its torture practices, with numerous testimonies of abuse documented by specialized institutions.
The first images of the released prisoners reveal the physical toll of the systematic torture they endured, with some individuals being immediately transferred to hospitals following their release.
Despite these releases, the occupation forces continue their daily arrest campaigns.
Since October 7th, more than 10,200 individuals have been detained from the West Bank, with thousands more from Gaza.
As of early August, the number of prisoners held in occupation prisons has exceeded 9,900, excluding detainees from Gaza who are being held in camps controlled by the occupation army.
