SANA'A August 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Architectural Studies and Training Center of the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities and the Hudhud Center for Archaeological Studies signed on Saturday in Sana'a a cooperation agreement to preserve cultural heritage, in the presence of the Authority's Technical Representative, Eng. Rashad Al-Maqtari.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Architectural Studies and Training Center by the Center's Director, Eng. Sami Muhib Al-Din, and on behalf of Al-Hudhud Center by the Executive Director, Dr. Hadeel Al-Salwi.
During the signing, Al-Maqtari praised the signing of the agreement, stressing the importance of coordinating efforts between the specialized centers to work together to preserve the cultural heritage in Yemen.
While Engineer Sami Muhib Al-Nabi stressed the importance of activating the training and consulting aspect in a way that serves the stage of showing , highlighting the Yemeni heritage , Yemeni antiquities , their maintenance, and the importance of joint cooperation between the two parties.
In turn, Dr. Hadeel Al-Salwi explained that this agreement comes within the framework of unifying efforts between the two centers to highlight the Yemeni cultural heritage, activate joint courses and workshops, especially in light of the current circumstances.
Al-Salwi indicated that this agreement will be practically activated in the coming days, , its benefit will be felt by archaeology students and researchers, as well as those interested in Yemeni cultural heritage.
