BEIRUT - (Saba): The death toll from the series of new ICOM wireless device explosions in Lebanon has risen to 20 martyrs.
In a new update on the death toll from the wave of explosions, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said the number of victims of Wednesday's explosions has risen to twenty martyrs and more than 450 wounded.
The Lebanese Red Cross said its crews responded with 30 ambulance teams to the multiple explosions in different areas, including southern Lebanon and the Bekaa.
A number of homes in Tyre, south Lebanon, caught fire as a result of the explosion of ICOM wireless devices, according to the Lebanese News Agency.
The Lebanese Civil Defense extinguished fires in 60 homes and shops as a result of the explosion of radios in Nabatieh, in the south of the country.
Following the explosions, the Lebanese Army Command called on citizens not to gather in areas witnessing security incidents "to allow the arrival of medical teams."
