BEIRUT -SABA: The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, spearheaded by Hezbollah, announced on Friday that it has targeted Zionist military headquarters and barracks with a barrage of Katyusha rockets, claiming direct hits on several key locations.
In a series of statements, the resistance emphasized its actions were in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and in retaliation for ongoing attacks on southern Lebanese villages.
It specifically targeted the main air defense missile base at Beria barracks, the air and missile defense headquarters at Keila barracks, and the command center of the 188th Armored Brigade at Al-Ulayqa barracks.
Additionally, the fighters struck the newly established headquarters of the 91st Division in Eilet Hashahar, as well as other military installations, including the missile and artillery battalion at Yoav barracks and the headquarters of the 210th Golan Division in Nafah.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, over 170 rockets were launched from southern Lebanon towards northern settlements in the span of one hour. At approximately 1:00 PM local time, around 60 rockets were aimed at the Safed area, followed by 70 more targeting Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights, and an additional 40 directed at the Meron region. Reports indicate that one Israeli settler sustained injuries from shrapnel.
