SANA'A - SABA: Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi on Monday visited the Ministry of Youth and Sports to assess the ministry’s conditions and overall performance across its various sectors.

During the visit, the Prime Minister met with Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mohammed al-Muwalad, his deputy Nabeeh Abu Shusaa, and other ministry officials.

They reviewed the ministry's operations, discussing improvements for youth and sports activities, support for national teams and clubs, and the ministry's role in enhancing youth awareness on national and religious issues.

The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the ministry's presence at the national level and the need for continued communication with athletes in occupied areas. He stated, "The occupation will disappear, and this sector must unite all the youth of Yemen under one banner and one goal: to serve and build their homeland."

He further noted that the youth and sports sector not only brings together players and national teams but also unites all Yemenis, enhancing the nation's representation in various sports arenas.

Al-Rahawi highlighted the importance of unity for stability and progress in Yemen, calling for a sports renaissance at all levels.

Referencing advancements in military technology, he questioned why similar progress couldn't be achieved in civilian sectors, asserting that sincere intentions and a collective sense of duty are essential for building a prosperous future.

The Prime Minister urged collaboration and honest advice among all to improve performance and overcome challenges.

In his welcoming speech, Minister al-Muwalad expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his visit and support.

He outlined the ministry's priorities in youth and sports development and reiterated their commitment to implementing the Prime Minister's directives, focusing on better care and development for youth and enhancing their capabilities in various sports disciplines while reinforcing a national focus in their activities.
