Sana'a - Saba: Activities and promotional events for Yemeni coffee continued in Sana'a today as part of celebrating the third anniversary of the Yemeni coffee revolution and World Coffee Day.
The events aim to promote coffee and revive its symbolism, fame, quality, and special flavor, which characterizes it. It is famous worldwide for being exported from the former port of Mokha and was globally named after it (Mocha).
During the event, the CEO of the General Organization for the Development and Marketing of Coffee Mana Al-Asal, along with the President of the Federation of Coffee Producers Associations, Mohamed Hassan, inaugurated a café and a coffee roastery in the Sabeen district of the Capital Sana'a. These are two small and new investment projects in the coffee sector.
He emphasized that the announcement of the coffee revolution came at a crucial time. It created the conditions for a qualitative leap in this vital sector, reflecting the growing awareness of the importance of coffee as a symbol of Yemeni identity and a source of comprehensive development. The coffee revolution aims to move the economic wheel by opening the way for creativity and innovation, seeking to enhance production capabilities and improve quality.
The president of the Union of Coffee Producers Associations emphasized that the coffee revolution is of historical importance as it has started to restore the economic significance of this crop.
