London – Saba: Mary Robinson, Ireland's first female president (1990-1997), stated that Israel was entering the Middle East with impunity.
Speaking to Radio 1, Irish broadcaster Robinson said, "The world is watching Israel cross all red lines and commit horrific violations of international law."
Robinson, Ireland's seventh president, added: "Internationally, the lives of people in Gaza and Lebanon are seen as far less valuable than their counterparts in Israel."
She explained that the United States has the only card capable of forcing Israel to comply with the ceasefire, calling on Washington to stop supplying Tel Aviv with weapons.
If the United States stops supplying Israel with weapons, Europe will follow suit.
The former president of Ireland criticized Israel's impunity in one way or another for its crimes in Gaza. She didn't feel she had paid the price.
Robinson is currently the president of the international NGO The Elders, which was founded in 2007 by former South African President Nelson Mandela to include senior leaders and world-renowned figures.
