Moscow - Saba: Russian forces were able to liberate a new village in the Donetsk People's Republic and inflicted heavy losses on Ukrainian forces in personnel and equipment.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated in its daily statement on the special military operation in Ukraine that the total losses in the Ukrainian army during the last 24 hours reached about 1925 soldiers, explaining that the Russian "South" forces were able to repel three counterattacks and inflicted losses on the enemy estimated at about 755 soldiers.
It added: A group of southern forces liberated the village of Gilanoye Vtoroye in Donetsk, after liberating six residential centers, including the strategic city of Ugledar, during the previous seven days.
It continued: Units from the Northern Forces Group targeted enemy positions in the Kharkiv province, and Ukrainian forces there lost about 115 soldiers, while units from the Western Forces Group took control of more suitable lines and positions, and the enemy's losses amounted to about 405 soldiers.
The ministry noted that units of the Central Group of Forces continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses, repelled four counterattacks and inflicted about 490 casualties among Ukrainian soldiers.
