Sana'a - Saba: Lahj Governor Ahmed Jarib stressed that the glorious October 14 Revolution is the fruit of a long popular struggle against a great empire that never set on it.
He pointed out that the sons of Yemen, who yearn for freedom and independence, confronted with their will and steadfastness the tank, the plane and the battleship, and snatched the south of the homeland from the strong claws of the occupier, and liberated the land and the people so that the sun of Aden would set at their hands on the British occupier, who fell and all his tools in the southern governorates fell.
Governor Jarib explained that history is repeating itself today and in a worse way by Britain's tools in the region, who are trying to subjugate a people who only submit to God, and are seeking to occupy a country that has acquired a natural immunity that does not accept the occupier or his practices, ignoring Yemen's history of expelling all invaders throughout history.
He said, "It is strange that some forces and movements that were created by the occupying countries in the southern governorates are seeking today to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution with funding from the invading occupier who controlled the land, violated the people, plundered wealth, destroyed capabilities and gains, and imposed a policy of starvation on all the people of those governorates."
