Today, Abdul Malik Sabra, the Vice President of the General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea, officially handed over the site for the fishermen's boat maintenance workshop project at the fishing port in Hodeida. This project is funded by the Al-Amal Organization for Humanity and coordinated with the local branch of the Humanitarian Affairs Council.
In the handover ceremony to the executing contractor, Fahmi Al Qasimi, the Food Security and Agriculture Sector Officer at the Council's branch, Mohammed Al-Tayeb, the Director General of Planning and Development at the Authority, and Majid Al-Mahdi, the Director of Projects at the Organization in attendance, the Vice President of the Authority emphasized the project's significance in reducing the hardships and financial strains faced by fishermen for the maintenance of their boats.
He stressed the authority's keenness to speed up the implementation of the workshop in accordance with the specifications, technical studies, and the specified time period in order to activate it within a record period after providing all equipment and work requirements that keep pace with the needs of fishermen.
