Tehran - Saba:
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasised the continuation of intensive diplomatic visits and moves until positive results are achieved in favour of peace and stability across the region.
In an Instagram post about the meetings in Muscat last night, Araqchi was quoted by Tasnim News Agency as saying: ‘Continuing my third tour of regional countries, I left Baghdad for Muscat and held useful and detailed talks with Oman's Minister of the Royal Omani Office, General Sultan bin Mohammed al-Nomani, and that country's Foreign Minister, Mr Badr al-Busaidi.’
‘In these meetings, we expressed our satisfaction with the strength and sustainability of the long-standing and friendly relations between Oman and Iran, and emphasised on strengthening and developing bilateral relations more than ever before,’ he added.
They discussed the latest developments in the region, especially the dangerous conditions resulting from the crimes and aggressions of the Zionist entity in Gaza and Lebanon, and emphasised the need for immediate international action to stop the genocide and military aggression of the Zionists.
‘During this visit, I also received Mr Mohammad Abdulsalam, spokesman and head of the negotiating team of the Yemeni National Salvation Government, and we discussed the latest situation in that country,’ he said.
‘We plan to continue consultations in other capitals of regional countries, and these visits and continuous and intensive diplomatic moves will continue until positive results are achieved in favour of peace, stability and tranquillity throughout the region,’ Araqchi concluded his post.
