Preliminary results of the legislative elections in Georgia showed the victory of the ruling "Georgian Dream" party, which received 53.6 percent of the votes.

According to the committee, "after the recount of votes in 2242 polling stations, which is approximately 72 percent of the centers, the 'Georgian Dream' received more than 781,000 votes, or 53.6 percent of the votes."
According to the latest announced results, the "Alliance for Change" party received about 11 percent of the votes, the "United National Movement" received about 9.8 percent of the votes, and "Georgian Dream" received about 8.9 percent of the votes.
As for the party of former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, "For Georgia," it received about 7.9 percent of the votes.
