The campaign aims to educate farmers on methods of detection and prevention of the peach fly, provide technical support , guidance on the use of appropriate pesticides and how to apply them effectively, said Ahmed Al-Koul, Director General of Plant Protection at the Ministry.

Al-Koul said that workshops will be organized in villages and farms to teach farmers how to confront the peach fly, as well as distributing guidebooks containing useful information on methods of control, in addition to providing free agricultural consultations to farmers through specialized teams.

For his part, the Director of Agricultural Services at the Tihama Development Authority, Engineer Mohammed Haddish, called on farmers in Tihama region to actively participate in the success of the campaign, and to benefit from the services provided in order to promote optimal practices to protect mango trees from any risks.

He appreciated the efforts of the Agriculture Ministry , represented by the Plant Protection Department, in implementing the campaign , providing support and guidance teams to raise the farmers' awareness level , educate them and provide them with all the information that would consolidate sustainable practices.
