Moscow - Saba:
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Sunday that the upcoming presidential election in the United States is unlikely to affect the future of the world.
"It is unlikely that the presidential election in the United States will have an impact on the future world, but it is the current prevailing trends that will have the greatest impact," Peskov said in a press statement.
According to Peskov, "The most important thing that distinguishes US President-elect Donald Trump from previous US administrations is that Trump is talking about peace, not confrontation."
Peskov noted that "the signals are positive for President-elect Donald Trump, during his election campaign, he said that he sees everything through deals and that he can make deals that lead everyone to peace. At least he talks about peace. He's not talking about confrontation."
Peskov explained that the positions of current President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are predictable until they leave the White House, unlike Trump, who is less predictable in this regard, and to what extent he will abide by the statements he made during his election campaign.
