Sana'a - Saba:
Over the course of more than a year of aggression against the Gaza Strip, the whole world has witnessed the brutality of the Zionist enemy entity through scenes, photos and clips on various media outlets documenting the genocide of Palestinians in the Strip, children searching for food and water, and women crying for their loved ones.
However, these scenes and horrible Zionist crimes do not push the silent international community to seriously stop the aggression. Rather, these countries, especially the United States, support the Zionist entity in extermination and support it militarily, politically, economically and other various types of support in the corridors of the United Nations and pressure international and human rights organizations to stop prosecuting the usurper entity for its barbaric crimes before international courts.
On the other hand, these scenes and images are nowhere to be found in the Zionist enemy and Western media, which present a single narrative in various forms that portrays the invading entity as the victim, describing the Hamas attack on the south of the occupied Palestinian territories as the origin of the current crisis. Enemy media outlets broadcast new footage of the Hamas attack on settlements on October 7, as well as testimonies of enemy soldiers on the ground or interviews with fleeing settlers.
The Zionist entity has an exemplary criminal record of committing the most severe crimes to the extent that it brought it three times more international criticism than any other country at the United Nations in 2020. Despite this, Western countries, led by the United States, which supports the Zionist entity, continue to condemn any international criticism of the crimes practiced by the usurper entity, claiming that these crimes fall under the “right of self-defense”.
Today, the world has come to realize that the daily massacres, systematic destruction, and targeting of all places of displaced people in Gaza on live television, in all media outlets, and on Internet pages, are no longer fooled by this game.According to press reports, as more than a year has passed since the brutal Zionist aggression on Gaza, the enemy media has returned to familiar patterns of propaganda such as amplifying Zionist narratives and marginalizing any critical coverage of the brutality of the occupying entity in Gaza.
Experts specializing in media monitoring say: “The Zionist entity is not portraying the war in Gaza as it really is on its Zionist television channels and that “at the moment, the Zionist media cannot deal with a complex reality. They know that their viewers don't really want to see images of their enemies dying. So they don't show them.
”Some feel that the media is too afraid to address public opinion by showing some innocent victims or pressuring the Zionist government about its obstruction of humanitarian aid, according to an American newspaper.
However, Zionist television still plays a major role in the occupied entity. It is reported that three-quarters of Zionists say it is a major source of information, and its exploitation is a conscious decision on the part of officials.
The media, especially television news programs, have taken active steps to determine what serves the interest, draw the boundaries of political discourse and present only a certain truth to the Zionist public, “thus, television news programs constantly walk a fine line between propaganda and journalism.
”Under the control of the Likud party, the so-called Zionist Communications Ministry promoted regulatory changes that allowed Channel 14 to transform itself from a “heritage channel” (licensed to broadcast programs about Judaism) to a full-fledged news channel providing hours of coverage daily.
This reportedly coincided with a change in the composition of journalists in the Zionist entity, with the Zionist public increasingly leaning to the far right over the yearsIn the same context, the Zionist entity exploited the events in Amsterdam to intimidate supporters of Palestine, after fans of the “Maccabi Tel Aviv” team caused clashes in Amsterdam, as they carried out provocative actions by taking down and tearing down the Palestinian flag in the streets of the Dutch capital, and chanting anti-Arab slogans.
The Zionist entity found its way into the incident by claiming that it was motivated by the rising “hatred and anti-Semitism” against Jews in Europe, and other times claiming that it came as a result of the anti-Tel Aviv demonstrations. In the aftermath of the incident, and in order to perpetuate the double standard, Western positions were quick to adopt the Zionist entity's narrative, which linked the incident to “hatred and anti-Semitism,” despite the fact that such incidents can occur after any match in Europe, but do not receive such responses.
Analysts believe that with the Zionist narrative that the Zionists were the victims of the Christian West, the Palestinians are the “victim of the victim,” meaning that “Jews are rightly seen as victims of a long history of mainly anti-Semitic Christian Western persecution, culminating in the atrocities of the Nazi Holocaust, which is almost beyond belief, but for the Palestinians, their role is that of victimized victims.
”With US support for the usurper Zionist entity, the number of martyrs of the aggression and genocidal massacres committed by the enemy in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 43,603 martyrs and 102929 injured, most of them women and children, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads that ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.
