Hodeida - Saba:
The Public Prosecution in Hodeida governorate approved the conditional release of 33 prisoners who had served three-quarters of their prison sentences and had no special rights for others.
Chief Prosecutor Hadi Aydah told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the decision came in the implementation of the instructions of the Public Prosecutor and the application of the text of Article 506 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and beyond, regarding prisoners sentenced to custodial sentences.
The law guaranteed the conditional release of prisoners who had served three-quarters of their prison sentences, had no special rights to others, had not been appealed, did not pose a serious social risk, and had no previous record after obtaining certificates of good conduct, evaluation, reform, and psychological rehabilitation.
The Conditional Release Committee in the governorate in a meeting headed by Judge Aidah, and the membership of the Director of the Social Affairs Office, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sayegh, and the Director of the Central Correctional Facility, Colonel Mansour Al-Hasani, reviewed the reports issued by social researchers from Social Affairs, and certificates of good conduct and behavior from the reformatory for prisoners nominated for conditional release, and according to the statements and memoranda of the primary prosecutions.
