Electricity, Energy and Water Minister Dr. Ali Saif Mohammed, his deputy Adel Bader, and Secretary General of Raymah Hassan Al-Omari were briefed on Monday on the solar-powered Al-Jabeen water project, which is being implemented in two phases.
Minister Ali Saif, his deputy, the province secretary and the province deputy, along with the province deputy Hafez Al-Wahdi, listened to an explanation of the project components , which includes the supply and installation of a solar energy system in the Zawiya area at a cost of 137 thousand dollars funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services "UNOPS", and will benefit 25 thousand people from the city of Al-Jabeen and its suburbs.
Minister Ali Saif, his deputy and the province's local secretary were also briefed today on the main water network project that connects the province center, pumping lines and water tanks, which consists of six stages and needs alternative energy to deliver water to citizens at a reduced cost.
For his part, Electricity and Water Deputy Minister Bader emphasized the keenness to give Raymah province attention in water and electricity projects, in accordance with the revolutionary leadership's directives , the Supreme Political Council and its continuous support for the province.
The Secretary General of the local province and the deputy governor considered Al-Jabeen water project as one of the vital projects that will make a qualitative leap in the infrastructure of the province.
They stressed that alternative solar energy projects will contribute to the delivery of drinking water to citizens in the center of the province at the lowest cost.
